I believe in a couple of things, root cause, cause and effect, and the fact that your hands are the largest influence on the club face. If a pattern breaks down at step 3 it wouldn't make sense to go to step 7 to try and fix it, right? Much of the swing is also a reaction and problem solving to what's come before. Most of the time that's trying to fix the direction the ball flies. Fortunately for us, we can take advantage of that. If things organized early, it's smooth sailing after that. Finally, your hands and the face of the club are most important. People are always guided by how they hit, especially directionally. Having the proper hand motion is your biggest lever when it comes to manipulating that flight. Master your hands and you'll master the swing.
