1. Download HackMotion software DOWNLOAD HERE

2. Launch software installer. Accept Windows security warning if prompted (Click ‘More info’ and then ‘Run anyway’ to complete the installation).

3. Turn on the sensor by pressing the power button. The indicator light will start pulsating.

4. Launch HackMotion software.

5. Wait until the sensor automatically connects to your device (this might take up to 30 seconds).  The indicator light will start to glow steadily and the software will indicate that the device is connected (bottom corner of the screen).

It is not required to pair the sensor. HackMotion may not appear in the Bluetooth settings.
If the sensor does not connect automatically to app, check if Bluetooth is activated on your device.

Step 1

  1. Open the HackMotion App on your device.
  2. Click on “Session” icon, left side of the screen.
  3. Select right or left handed player option.
  4. Insert session name (i.e. player, date).
  5. Press “Start” button

Step 2

  1. Click on “Calibrate” icon, left side of the screen
  2. Place the wrist flat and parallel to ground in front of you
  3. Make sure wrist has zero flexion/extension and zero radial/ulnar deviation
  4. Press button “Calibrate 1st pose”

Step 3

  1. Move the wrist in extended position, not changing radial/ulnar deviation
  2. Press button “Calibrate 2nd pose”

Step 4

  1. You are ready to go!
  2. Make a golf swing and the sensor will automatically detect it.

Step 1

  1. Click on “BioFeedback” icon, left side of the screen.
  2. Select “Immediate” BioFeedback option.

Step 2

  1. Turn BioFeedback mode “ON” by pressing the toggle button.

Step 3

  1. Select if you want to get feedback on “flexion/extension” or “ulnar/radial deviation”.

Step 4

  1. Select your desired wrist angle range in degrees.
  2. When your wrist angle is in this range you will hear audio feedback. When it is out of range, you will hear nothing.
  3. Make sure the selected range is reasonable number for range of wrist motion. For example, range from -5 degrees flexion to 5 degrees extension.

Step 5

  1. You are ready to go!
  2. Make sure your device’s audio output is turned on.
  3. Test your feedback range by moving wrist angle in and out of that range. Make sure your device’s audio output is on.

  1. Click on “BioFeedback” icon, left side of the screen.
  2. Turn BioFeedback mode “ON” by pressing the toggle button.
  3. Select “After Shot” BioFeedback option.

Step 2

  1. Select if you want to get feedback on wrist “flexion/extension” or “ulnar/radial deviation”.

Step 3

  1. Select if after the shot you want to get feedback on wrist position at “address”, “top” or “impact”.

Step 4

  1. Select your desired wrist angle range in degrees.
  2. If during the shot your wrist angle was in this range you will hear positive audio feedback. If it was out of the range, you will hear negative audio feedback.
  3. Make sure the feedback range is a reasonable number. For example, initially try range from -5 degrees flexion to 5 degrees extension (total range 10 degrees).

Step 5

  1. You are ready to go!
  2. Make sure your device’s audio output is turned on.
  3. Test your feedback range by hitting a shot and see if your selected wrist angle was in or out of the range.
